The Welland Volleyball League Executive Team would like to sincerely thank everyone for being part of another incredible and successful season!
A special thank you to our amazing referees (Dorrie, Dylan, and Sharon) and scorekeepers for your dedication each week. Your efforts help keep our league running smoothly and create a fun, fair, and positive atmosphere on the court.
To our team captains, thank you for your leadership, organization, and commitment throughout the season. Your role in supporting your teams and building community within the league is truly appreciated.
To all of our players and fans, thank you for your energy, enthusiasm, and love for the game. Your support and participation are what make this league so special, and we’ve loved having you with us this season.
Lastly, a huge thank you to our incredible Executive Team: Francy, Noelle, Kerry, Kaylee, Sherry, Katie, and Joce. Running a league of 40 teams, 300+ players, across 3 nights a week, 2 venues, 7 months of play, plus our annual tournament (x2 this year!!), takes a tremendous amount of time, teamwork, and dedication. This league would not be possible without all of your hard work behind the scenes. Thank you for everything you do to keep WVL thriving!
Thank you all again for a fantastic season - we hope you have a wonderful summer!

Registration for the 2026/2027 season opens August 1, 2026.
We’ll post here when registration is officially OPEN, and we hope to see you all back next season!

Special Retirement Announcement Our wonderful executive member, Francesca Berardi, has announced her retirement from the Welland Volleyball League Executive Team after more than 25 years of dedicated service.
Francy has given her time, energy, and unwavering commitment to our volleyball community. Her leadership has been steady, reliable, and deeply invested in making sure this league not only runs- but truly thrives.
There was a time when she carried this league on her own, managing countless moving pieces behind the scenes with care and determination. Because of her, systems were built, traditions were established, and a strong foundation was created for all of us to build on.
So much of what we enjoy today- every smooth season, every organized detail, every moment where things just work- is because of the years she poured into this league.
Over more than two decades, Francy has given not only her expertise, but also her heart. Her guidance, dedication, and strength have shaped this league in ways that will be felt for years to come. She has truly left a lasting legacy. Francy will always be a part of this community and an honorary member of the WVL executive team!
On behalf of everyone in the league, thank you for everything you’ve done- seen and unseen. It was an honour to recognize you this past Sunday at our tournament, and we celebrate you again today.
Congratulations on your retirement Francy!!!
